Orally, GABA seems to be generally well tolerated. Sublingually, no adverse effects have been reported. However, a thorough evaluation of safety outcomes has not been conducted.

Common orally taken adverse effects;

• Drowziness
• Gastric upset
• Minor throat burning
• Nausea
• Muscle Weakness

Do not take if you are allergic to GABA or any of the constituents of this formulation.

• Anti-hypertensives (Blood pressure medication); Theoretically, taking GABA taken with anti-hypertensives drugs/blood pressure medication can increase the risk of hypotension/lower your blood pressure

• CNS Depressants; Theoretically, GABA can have additive sedative effect when used with CNS depressants. However this effect is unclear if it is clinically relevant
